We are proud to support grassroots efforts to care for and invest in parks. Friends groups are becoming an increasingly popular way for neighbors to ensure that their favorite parks are protected, used and loved. But it takes knowledge of applicable laws and regulations to solicit, acknowledge and process the donations that Friends groups need to do their work.

Raising Awareness

 

We love to spend time at fairs and festivals, talking to the community about parks and how they can get involved.

 

We also have an active Speaker's Bureau ready to help your group learn more about the impact that parks have on community. 

Connecting Communities

 

While we may be the only Parks Foundation in town, we are not alone in our work. Our Board, staff and volunteers are always working to connect like-minded community members with other park supporters, and to bring together the many groups that are out there working to make our world a better place.

The Spokane Parks Foundation is an efficiently managed 501(c)(3) corporation, licensed in Washington state.  We strive to maximize donor dollars by charging an administrative fee of 10% or less from every gift to support our mission, administrative overhead and growth.  We fully honor restricted and unrestricted gifts from all donors, and we equally appreciate gifts both large and small. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your contribution.
