Hoopfest Basketball Court

The new basketball complex on the North

Bank of the park was fully funded and built by

Spokane Hoopfest Association. It is an additional

draw for young people and families,

and builds on Spokane’s reputation

as a great American basketball city.

From working people downtown playing

a quick game of pickup on their lunch

break, to kids playing after school or on

a warm summer night, this space is

in line with our vision of this park - bringing

free, accessible recreation to all.

Richard Fox, former basketball player

and Riverfront Spokane Campaign Steering

Committee member says: "Spokane is one

of the best basketball communities in the

country. Whether as fans or players, there

is a shared love of the game.  Having a

signature court in the heart of our city

celebrates a sport that continues to galvanize

our community and bring it together.”
